IHOBE is the Public Society of Environmental Management of the Basque Country, a publicly owned non-profit company. IHOBE's headquarters are located in Bilbao (province of Biscay) and the scope of performance is the Basque Autonomous Community (BAC). The mission statement is a response to the current environmental requirements of Basque society, and in particular those of the Basque Government Department of Environment, Land Use, Farming and Fishing. IHOBE works under the plans and directives of the Basque Government Department of Environment, Land Use, Farming and Fishing and on the basis of sustainable development criteria, aims to mobilize all players in the Basque Autonomous Community and intervenes, if necessary, in order to achieve a continuous environmental improvement. Acting this way, we are constantly attempting to meet the needs of our customers, staff and collaborators and to meet our firm commitment to social responsibility.
